Edward Wallace “Ed” Snyder, age 60, of Marysville, died Thursday evening, February 2, 2017 at OhioHealth Hospice Kobacker House. He was an associate of Franke’s Wood Products in Marysville since 2012. He was known as a very dedicated and committed company associate who was well-respected and admired by his co-workers and the Franke family. A 1974 graduate of Marysville High School, he was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the 134th Airborne Division. As a paratrooper stationed in Central America, he accomplished 96 successful jumps. Known as “Fred” by those closest to him, he enjoyed his times with his work family and his friends, especially his good buddy, Mark. He was born April 12, 1956 in Delaware County to the late Wallace and Oleatha Brush Snyder. He was also predeceased by a sister, Cindy Gregg. He is survived by his son, Benjamin “BJ” Snyder; his sister, Debbie (Jerry Deahl) Snyder of Richwood; his brother, Danny (Debbie) Snyder of Marysville; his niece, Tina Moore; his nephews, Eric Gregg and James Fletcher; and other relatives and friends, including his best friend, Mark Manning. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Underwood Funeral Home where the family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m. Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday with military honors provided by the Union County Military Funeral Honor Guard.
